October 2010 — "Needing a casual meal out we chose Little Thai Place, Royal Oak location. This is a relatively new restaurant in an expanding and updated mall. It is street level, easy access for all and has parking.
As soon as we stepped inside we were impressed with the aroma of food. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere good. Our waitress was brisk and had little to say as we placed our order and she went off to get my husband's drink without even asking me if I'd like anything.Thankfully the waiter sharing the floor was very friendly and provided great service for the balance of our stay.
We chose spring rolls, Pad Thai, steamed rice and Crispy Duck. The duck is a special dish for the Royal Oak location and was perfectly cooked with crispy skin and tender centre.
Our meal ,including a beer each, was under $50. We felt that everything had been carefully prepared and the portions were ample. We would definitely come here again or take advantage of the take out option. They have limited delivery as well and hopefully it will one day expand to include our neighbourhood."

February 2008 — "This restaurant is very very small and appeared to cater mostly to take out customers. We were walking in the area and decided to try it for lunch noticing the steady stream of customers coming and going. The restaurant is tucked away in the corner of a tiny strip mall on Shelbourne Street near the University of Victoria. We sat at the one empty table and were quickly greeted by a waiter. I fully expected that we would have to stand in line to order so I was pleased when he asked if he could take our order. We asked him to recommend something. The menu had a good selection of various Thai dishes but not being really familiar with Thai food, I needed some help. He suggested one of their most popular dishes, a sweet curry chicken and vegetable bowl. My friend ordered one of the specials, a spicy curry noodle bowl with chicken. Our order came up very quickly surprising us as the line up at the front counter placing take out orders was quite busy. My lunch was great. Good size portion, just enough for lunch. The prices were excellent - under $10 for most dishes. Because the place is so small, it was noisy and not the best place to visit with a friend for lunch. I would go back but would probably order take out and find a park where I could enjoy my lunch. "
