July 2008 — "Mckay's is an icon of Cochrane. Everyone knows of it as having the best ice cream around. It's a little expensive for the relatively little scoops they give, but if you don't mind paying a little extra, they have every flavor you could imagine, and it really is very good ice cream. On hot days their lines look pretty intimidation but they move surprisingly quickly. However, in order to keep the lines moving quick they do not accept debit, so if you are planning to go have a cone, make sure you bring cash or a credit card."
