October 2008 — "First Impression:
The first night we went, was a busy Drum and Bass Friday night. Small line up to get in at 10:30, greeted by some super friendly security, and reminded of the "Attitude Free, Violence Free Policy" they have, "Five years not One Single Incidence of Violence" Soda is proud to herald, and if your there for any other reason then to have a peace loving good time, this is not the place for you. No cover before 11, nice. A definite Wow factor when you walk in the first time, you don't expect that much character based on the outside appearance. Make our way to the main service bar, takes a few minutes to get our first drink, but the service was super friendly and the drinks Very Reasonably Priced. Crowded, and all the tables and couches get taken up fast. By 11 if you don't have a table, good luck. But thats all good, its kind of a stand up, dance(y) place at night. Lots of countertops and shelving to lean against and lots of stools around to pull up. Overall great atmosphere, friendly people, good staff. Yeah I like this place.
Lowdown on the Music:
The nights that they play dance music, it's generally on the bass heavy end of the danceable electronic music spectrum. Dub step, Drum & Bass, Funky Breaks, Grimey House, Minimal Techno the likes of that... At other times Sub Pop and Reggae to Rock and Indie. Also some slamming IDM and Industrial, they host a really cool goth/industrial fetish party once a month. A really diverse and interesting mix of music there, a bunch of the dj's from cjsw play there on a regular basis. Atmosphere is thick, have never seen anything like it, they have a really unique setup, great dance floor only

Friendly security, and they boast a Perfect Record of never having a single incidence of violence in 5 years. Safe place!!! It's the attitude of the people that they attract.

Bar service only, and the lines are long at both the bars.

Definitely one of the funkiest little club/lounges I have ever been in, amazing atmosphere...definitely not for everyone, but I LOVED it. Their motto "More of a Cult Classic then a Best Seller""
