November 2011 — "The atmosphere is a darkly lit, but a nice looking pub, with booths surrounding an area of pool tables, arcades and large televisions. There is a nice selection of beers and a large menu. I got a "small" chicken fajita pizza. It was huge and really good. The crust was the classic handmade pub style deep dish and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. I couldn’t finish it and I have a healthy appetite. It was a great value for the price of the night."

March 2011 — "Tipperary's is one of my favorite pubs in the city. It's a great place to watch the game or play a game of pool. The bathrooms are modern and clean and the place is well kept. The service is usually spot on and I love how they always have great specials! There is always a good crowd and the food is great! However, I would recommend to avoid disappointment, stick to the classic pub menu items! The last time I went, I had the "Salmon Bundle" which was a salmon fillet stuffed with crab, then wrapped and baked in parchment paper (to retain the flavor apparently). It was served with rice and veggies. The salmon was dry and wasn't very good quality and paired with the crab, tasted very fishy. I wouldn't order it again. It was pretty expensive too, coming in at just under $20.00. You can always count on ice cold beer though! "

March 2011 — "Located on 19th Street and 16th Ave NW, Tipperary's is a great pub that serves cold drinks and good food without fail. The pub itself is a bit dark and always tends to feel under-lit but there's plenty of space and big comfy booths to sit. They also have a pool table and good specials every day. One of the coolest things about Tipperary's is that they have 25 different flavors of wings! I will say that the wings are quite small, but the interesting flavors make it worth it. They have your regular kinds like honey garlic, salt and pepper, hot etc...but they also have a bunch more exotic flavors like dill pickle, salt and vinegar, mango chipotle and pineapple curry! Great place to go for a wing pigout! The menu is pretty extensive with lots to choose from. Try the mushroom stuffed chicken breast, stuffed with cream cheese, mushrooms and red pepper served with a creamy side of fettuccine alfredo. It's a bit pricey at $16 but worth the money. "

"The Worst Customer Service"

July 2010 — "I went to Tipperary's Pub to watch the World Cup Final. It was somewhat busy, but not completely full at noon when we arrived. We ordered immediately. A friend of ours arrived after 12:30 and ordered right away. His food arrived by 12:45 and ours hadn't arrived yet. Our server assured us that ours would be out soon. By 1:00 she explained the the order "was nowhere to be found." She took our order again and said she'd put a rush on it. It arrived at 1:45! Although she apologized when she gave it to us, when we asked if she could consider giving it to us for free, she said that they were really busy today (despite the fact that our friend had received his meal in 15 mins). We had ordered straight forward breakfast food (eggs, toast, etc.). She then said she'd speak to her manager. She didn't do this until right before she gave us our bill (which was over an hour later) and they had only taken 25% off our food. We complained about this to the manager and he scoffed when we said we'd waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food! We felt this was extremely disrespectful. It took a lot of pushing for him to finally offer us 50% off the food items. All in all, the server was really unresponsive to our needs in a lot of ways (e.g., hardly checked in with us, took 15 mins to get a pint of Keiths) and the terrible customer service ruined our experience there. All in all, I would definitely not go back and would not recommend it to anyone else."

October 2009 — "I ate here a few weeks ago because I was craving a steak sandwich and Tipperary's had them on special. It is an Irish pub that has the traditional "Irish" feel, ie. oak finishing and green decor colors. There are 2 sides that you can choose, one being the pub and the other a restaurant side. We chose the restaurant side which had plenty of flat screens to watch the events on and also a few pool tables. We chose our own seating and the server came within about 5 minutes. The server took our drink and appetizer orders and initially when talking with her, she seemed a bit nervous. I had a feeling serving may have been new to her. The wings we ordered came before we received our drinks, and then after that - the steaks came about a half hour later. The restaurant was not over busy, was about 65% full. My friends steak was under cooked so they had to throw it on the grill again... the bill then took about 20 minutes after we were finished. My meal was good and I would love to go back however on this visit - and on ones I've had in the past, the service always seems to be pretty bad! I'm not too sure I would recommend this place to people at anytime soon... "

September 2009 — "My friends and I came here for lunch on Labor Day because we couldn't get tickets to the football game. It was pretty dead, so we grabbed some sweet seats beside Tipperarys' pool tables and went about trying some pub grub.
I ordered the blackened chicken wrap with fries, while my cohorts both ordered the steak sandwich special. Needless to say my meal was a bore. They might as well change the name of the wrap to "caesar salad wrap with chicken bits" cause that's what it felt like. The wrap came so filled with salad dressing, that whatever taste might have been contained in the sad strips of meat they called grilled chicken was lost on me.
On the positive side, my friends agreed the steak sandwiches were quite good and made to order.
Furthermore, the service was somewhat spotty, but understandable considering how busy the place became once the football game started.
Will I be back? Maybe, especially considering they only charge a buck for a game of pool, but if I do, I definitely won't be ordering the chicken wrap."

May 2008 — "The Tipperary is close to where I live, so I was hoping it would be good. However, I've been there four times and each time I have left disappointed. I'm not going to give it a fifth chance. The service is extremely slow and the food is mediocre. I feel like some of the waitresses give off the vibe that they don't want to be there. I think this place really needs to work on its service. "

January 2008 — "I've gone to Tipperary's tons of times and had really good and really bad experiences. This time it was the absolute worst. I'm used to slow service at times, and mediocre food, but on this particular occasion we ordered wings to start and then the three of us also ordered entrees. After waiting nearly 40 minutes without getting our wings, we were presented with our entrees. We asked where our wings were and she had completely forgotten. We didn't want them, but she insisted. So we got wings rushed out to us. Unfortunately, they were in too much of a rush because they were bloody raw. We sent them back and said we didn't want them anymore, they insisted and we said they may as well pack them to go because we were done our entrees. The manager came over to apologize and gave us three free entree coupons for a later date and took the wings off the bill, but the experience made us not want to go there for awhile. The server was also brutal, she kept saying, "I don't know what to say! Everything is going so wrong!!" However, I have since returned to Tipperary's and it's been okay, although the nachos were expensive and small and the cheese wasn't even melted!! I am sure I will go back again because it's pretty close to home, but it's definitely not my first choice."

February 2007 — "we have been to Tipperays Pub on 16th about 4 times now and have not been disappointed in the food yet! My husband always orders the steak sandwich as well as my daughter as they both think it is the best that they have had in a long time...cooked as they wished! I have tried the chicken fingers with salad and the only thing I can say is that they need to give bigger salads with the meal. We have tried their pizza as well and it is very good too. The atmosphere is comfortable and there is enough space between tables so you don't feel cramped. The service is good however the parking is hard to get too...Plan on returning for sure!!"

July 2006 — "I have been going to Tipperary's for a few years and am rarely disappointed. A couple of years ago they completed extensive renovations on the non-smoking side of the restaurant (which is bigger than the smoking part) and it now looks like a traditional Irish pub. They have several big-screen TVs and show the latest sporting events. Wednesday is wing night and the rest of the menu is really delicious, especially the burgers and the beef dip! Once in awhile the service can be atrocious, but I keep going back anyhow!"
