December 2009 — "I have been to the Haus only once before with my husband, and we were one of two couples in the restaurant. This time, the place was packed and my friend and I had to wait for almost 15 minutes to get in - not bad. It is kind of a strange interior - the kitchen almost looks kiosk like; something you might see in a mall. There are a few tiny tables with slightly uncomfortable chairs. The menu, however, is fantastic and has genuine Austrian cuisine, something I've looked for since being in Austria. The starters were $7 - $11 (Gulasch soup, breaded mushrooms or breaded swiss cheese); entrees ranging from $16 - $19 (a variety of Schnitzels, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and a large dish of Gulasch); desserts and beer or wine. I tried out the Jaager Schnitzel ($20) with organic and forest porcini mushrooms in a creamy sauce - the server was accommodating and offered me chicken shnitzel as an alternative since I don't eat red meat. The schnitzel was delicious! The sauce wasn't overpowering and the mushrooms were cooked enough to absorb the juice but weren't mushy. I hear that this can be tricky from an Austrian friend of mine. I had a glass of white wine for $6.50 to accompany my meal. All in all I would recommend this great family-run restaurant; the food more than made up for the strange ambience."

January 2009 — "I had no idea what schnitzel was. I had driven by the Wiener Schnitzel Haus a hundred times, and often I would say to my wife, "We should go there sometime." Finally, we did. I tried the Tiroler Schnitzel. It was like nothing I have had before. I enjoyed it very much. It is filled with cheese and has some bacon on it. Unusual and delicious. The restaurant is quite small, and long. Most tables have a window, and there is plenty of light. The ambiance, though, is not anything special. I personally like a place that allows a bit more privacy, but for those that like to see and be seen it is perfect. The Schnitzels cost about $20 each, and it isn't a lot of food for the price, but it is an interesting experience. Beer and wine are available. Red wine was $7.50 and white was a bit cheaper. Beer was about $6.00. Although there were a number of deserts and appetizers on the menu, I didn't try them. For example, deserts offered were Swiss Cheese, breaded and served with Cranberry Sauce, and apfelstrudel. The service was efficient and friendly. "

Restaurant serves wiener schnitzel, a breaded then fried chicken or pork meat cutlet. The schnitzels are crispy and not greasy and are available in different styles including served on a bun. Try some Austrian desserts such as the home-made streusel.
