April 2012 — "Thursday nights at Boccavino’s means cheap pasta. Located next door to Lina’s Italian Market on Centre Street, there was ample parking the night we arrived. This place is a great alternative to the fancier Italian restaurants in town. The price point is quite attractive, especially on Thursday nights when the pasta is further discounted, the quality is great and the ingredients are fresh. This makes sense, as I heard they share the same kitchen with Lina’s next door. We sat down with a table for four, and had to wait a little while as they were quite busy. After taking our order, we were offered some fresh bread before our entrees came. I had ordered the spaghetti carbonara and it was excellent with just the right amount of sauce and served with fresh parmesan to top it off. The price for this was about 12.99 which makes it a great deal. If you are in the area, be sure to check this place out. "

May 2011 — "This italian restaurant is conveniently located on Centre Street and is an ease to get to. We went for some pasta yesterday (Thursday is Discounted Pasta Night) and it was very good. We showed up at 6 and were seated immediately. The place is busy but not overly crowded. The servers were quick to bring us drinks. We usually go on Thursdays when it’s cheap pasta night. Everything except for the seafood is $11.95. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara. While we waited, they provided us with bread and butter. I’ve had the Carbonara once before and it was a lot better the first time. Not saying that this time was bad, it’s only disappointing if you know it can be better. However, it was still creamy and fresh. At that price, it is really worth it. The servings are big and they’re always fresh. If you come early enough you can also pick up fresh ingredients from the Italian Market next door, I hear they share the same kitchen and same fresh ingredients"

April 2011 — "This place is an Italian restaurant and although the pizza and pasta on the tables of other customers looked awesome, I was craving steak. So I ordered the steak sandwich (expensive at $15.95) which was cooked medium rare to perfection and came on quality bread. I also had a choice of side and I went with the tomato fuscilli pasta. I also ordered some bruchetta ($5.95) which was two large buns with a pile of fresh vine-ripened tomatoes on top doused with quality olive oil and fresh basil.
The path to the bathroom was memorable with tonnes of framed autographed pictures and sports memoribilia. There are also lots of TV's for the sports fans.
The service was great even through the lunch hour rush. There was a large group of 16 people but that didn't slow anything down. I can hardly wait to go back and enjoy a frosty one on the patio in the summertime.

January 2011 — "Eating at Boccavino feels like going for a home-cooked meal at your fun-loving relative’s abode. The walls are adorned with sports memorabilia and television sets, while a large bar in the corner of the relatively small dining room takes centre stage. I happened to come here on a Thursday, which is the night this establishment offers discounted prices on all their pasta dishes and house wines.
Considering Boccavino is connected to Lina’s Italian Market, I was pretty sure our table was in good hands, so I ordered the penne with marinara, anchovies and capers. The dish (accompanied by a glass of Chianti) was fantastic. Rather than simply dumping some anchovies into the mix, it appeared as though they were ground into the marinara. This allowed the dish to maintain the distinct flavor of the fish without the occasional overpowering hit of salt.
Our server did a great job of establishing what was and wasn’t on special, and did her best to help us pronounce the dishes we wanted to order.
There’s no doubt, Boccavino’s is now my favourite stop for casual Italian dining.
