August 2011 — "Oh my goodness this was delicious Thai food! I had been craving Thai, and this was just the ticket! Located right downtown on Fort Street, Siam Thai is an unassuming little restaurant that had some of the best Thai I've ever had. While it doesn't look like much walking in, don't judge it by the pictures of the food in the window, it's much better than that. We had the spring rolls to start, very crispy, tasty, but have meat, so be careful as this is usually a vegetarian dish most places. We ordered the medium white rice, which was the right amount for each of us to have some for our dishes. Although they were such generous helpings, we both had leftovers (not that I'm complaining). My pork was well cooked, with nice vegetables with it, and my husband liked his just as much. The servers were also very pleasant, which makes the whole dining experience that much more enjoyable. Bonus with Siam Thai, is if you don't want to go downtown, they are part of the Dine In Victoria delivery service. Loved it here."

"Hot spicy soup on a cool day"

August 2009 — "Many Victorians believe that Siam Thai has the best thai food in Victoria. Having eaten there on numerous prior occastions, I can vouche for their excellent pad thai and delicious curries. I work just a block away, so I thought I would treat myself to a bowl of Tom Kah Gai this windy day. I placed an order for take-out, and picked my soup up 10 minutes later. Tom Kah Gai is a hot & sour chicken soup finished with coconut milk. Their version came with mushrooms and fresh kaffir lime leaves. I had ordered mine medium, and it had a nice spicy edge to it. I found it to be a bit thin, but satisfying in flavour. Their lunch specials offer a more satisfying option mid-day, but it would make a nice opener for a meal."

"Good Thai for a tourist area"

August 2009 — "This is one of our favorite Thai restaurants in downtown Victoria and surprisingly, it's right in the downtown core and always busy. The service was friendly as usual. They gave us water fairly quickly. The food came out in decent time considering the number of people there already. I ordered the dish with shrimp and veggies in a Thai chili sauce. They didn't skimp out on the shrimp so I was really happy with that! They were full size and plump. The dish was big enough that I ate the other half for lunch the next day. The spicyness was to my liking although they always give you the choice of mild, medium or hot. (I usually get medium) The atmosphere is nice although it is a bit too dark. Our table had a lamp with a buddha type guy. "

"Great service and Thai food!"

July 2009 — "Siam Thai is a great, warm, and friendly place to grab some Thai food with some friends. On this occasion, it was a friend's birthday party and we decided on Siam Thai because of someone's good past experience there. The service is excellent! The waiters were attentive, prompt, and friendly. We ordered the Tom Kai Gai soup, Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Pad Thai, Kai Yang, Siam Garden Delight, rice and drinks. Most items we ordered could be spicier but most of us stuck with the mild flavors. The food was delicious and the cost was reasonable given the amount of food served. There were no complaints for all of us and lots of left overs to take home. The staff here are aware to food sensitivities and are willing to accommodate accordingly. I would go back to this restaurant anytime plus it is walking distance from the harbour, located right downtown!"
