January 2007 — "Kids and parties of more than 3 are definitely NOT welcome at deli smart, despite the "welcome" sign on the door. The owner scolded us for considering moving one of the three junky IKEA tables in the joint so we could sit together, and yelled at my three-year-old when he touched the front of the counter. I actually didn't quite hear what was going on, and had assumed she was suggesting that we do move the furniture to accomodate our party of six. But my wife was upset so I went to talk to the owner after eating, and she confirmed that she wanted the furniture to stay put and then scoffed at my face and gave me nothing but incredulity. The sandwiches were mediocre, nothing bad, nothing special whatsoever. The service was, sadly, the worst and most embarassing restaurant experience I've ever had. "
