June 2010 — "Within one hour we had three different waitresses of which only the first one provided acceptable service. For our order of burger and fries we had to wait more than 30 min. and chicken wings even took an hours to be served. We were a table of 8 and all of us ate and everyone who had not to drive had a couple of drinks, but they charged our driver $5 for a water!
The waitress tried to take bottles from our table with which we were not finished yet as they were not empty. When telling her that this drink is not finished yet, she asked my friend to empty it now that she can take the bottle. I've definitely been here for the first and last time!
The karaoke entertainment was good though, but the incredible bad service ruined our evening!"

March 2009 — "I recently attended and evening at Duckys for a friends birthday party and would have to say it is the worst pub experience I've encountered in a while.
I won't comment one the karaoke for 2 reasons, that's not within the owners control and I didn't stick around long enough for a fair judgement. I can comment on the menu in general.
Firstly, they should just remove "and restaurant" from their name. There was very few items on the food menu and the appearance of the place matched that of a pub, plain and simple.
I found the prices to be outrageous by pub standards, charging $4 for soda, juice, coffee, or tea. During karaoke they appear to have a "reverse happy-hour" where they actually raise the prices of juice and pop by $1. The designated driver now has the pleasure of paying $5 for a coke, while his friends are paying $4.75 for highballs and $4.95 for domestic beer.
Another comment to the pricing is the boast of $0.80 wings, maximum 12 per drink order. I know a few places that offer .15 cent wings on their wing night with no drink requirements.
The kitchen closes at 9:30 when the karaoke starts, which no one informed us of until we tried to order food at 9:45, even though we had been there since 8:30. A "last call" for food would have been nice. "

November 2006 — "In Calgary, Karaoke is synonymous with Ducky's. I've never been there on a weeknight but they have it every Friday and Saturday. Apparently, Calgarians like to sing because last time I went to Ducky's, I waited in line for almost 1/2 an hour! Then it was another 1/2 hour before I got a drink. The singing varies from god-awful to awesome. If you want to sing, be prepared to wait for a while to get your song on -- it's that popular. Besides the Karaoke, there doesn't seem to be anything that sets Ducky's apart from other pubs -- the staff aren't very friendly, the service is painfully slow, the food's not that good, the drink selection isn't fabulous, etc. But they offer the chance to embarrass yourself in front of hundreds of people -- and you'll probably have a great time doing it! Ducky's Pub features hot-wing specials and other pub-style dishes. Enjoy a game of darts, the dance floor and singing karaoke songs.
