May 2011 — "Wings Restaurant is a Chinese staple in the Burnside area of Victoria. You'll find many locals, working and otherwise enjoying their lunch buffet until 2pm and their off the menu or dinner buffet. We have enjoyed the buffet for lunch in the past, and find it quite basic with nothing unique to entice your pallet. But one thing they do very well is their Wor Wonton Soup. For $8.95 a medium Wor Wonton feeds 2 very hungry people. The bowl is chock full of homemade wontons, broccoli, bok choy, chicken, sliced pork, pea pods and always 3 large prawns. The bowl comes very quickly, so be prepared, and order a pot of chinese tea, its delicious. The owner is your server and she is extremely efficient. Everything in this bowl of soup is cooked perfectly, not too much broth, but so much food, its more than a meal. We always leave feeling satisfied. Its a great lunch. We have never experienced their dinners, but there is always an advertised special for one and a very detailed menu is available, as well as the buffet."

February 2009 — "When we were in Victoria last month we opted to visit friends and have lunch together. We all chose Chinese for our menu. It was a terrific choice and we came away being so full of wonderful and yummy food. This is a take out or eat in restaurant right on Gorge Road. They do have a large buffet but we ordered from the menu. We all tried the egg rolls and they were a real treat. Nice and crispy and lots of filling. I do not usually try the Chop Suey but I could see it was loaded with juicy chunks of beef, so I tried it and it was delish. The sweet and sour pork was very lean and tender. The deep fried prawns in sweet and sour sauce were wonderful. We always order steamed rice and this was done perfect and fluffy. We are happy with our visit and can not wait to go back."
