March 2012 — "When looking for a place to eat on a Monday night, we came across the Bull & Finch in Southland in the stripmall on the corner of Southland Drive and Elbow Drive. It was pretty dead in there, even though there was a Flames game on. After ordering our drinks, we decided to go with three different appetizers. We chose the jalapeno poppers, some hot wings and some boneless pork bites. I was not very impressed with the quality of the food. The pork bites were pretty good, the wings were dry and the jalapeno poppers were pretty standard. I think it was the fact that the wings were so dry and tasteless that turned me off. However, the atmosphere was pretty decent and they had enough TVs to watch the game on. I think if I went back, it would just be for some drinks next time. The service was pretty good, so that made up for the average food."

October 2010 — "I grew up in this neighborhood and usually hung out at this establishment on weekends. I always enjoyed the service and clientele and this instance was no exception. Rather than my favorite Philly cheese steak they offer, I went for the smaller sandwich of the day. It was decent for the price and filled the gap. The atmosphere is fairly good for sports but the TVs are smaller and lacking. They have a large projector but very old and hard to see. Pool and arcades kept us entertained and they played name that tune for bar gift certificates. It was a great time and would recommend for a weekend evening for the younger crowd or a weekday supper for the quieter customers."

January 2009 — "There are several of these pubs in Calgary but we decided to try the one in the southwest area. The place was very busy but our party of four found a table after just a short wait. Our server was very nice and brought our menus and drinks over quickly. The menu here has a large choice of dishes and my friend was impressed that his favorite dish of liver and onions was on the menu. When you order this dish be prepared. It literally is liver, onions and gravy - no potatoes or vegetables. They serve a very nice fish and chip basket which is what I ordered and it was nice flaky fish and nice fresh fries. The prices seemed very good for the amount of food on our plates. I like olives served with my beer and the waitress didn't bat an eye about this combination. In fact, she remembered it each time she brought an order of drinks to the table. Now that's a good waitress."
