April 2008 — "A good meal for a decent price seems to be the mantra at this student lounge. I ordered the Trojan Burger with fries. For eight bucks, I don't think I've gotten a bigger burger. It was stacked high with all the trimmings, and the fresh crispy fries made it all the better. Now if only the beer were cheaper... If there is one complaint, it's that the place is severely understaffed. I visited the Gateway on a busy Friday afternoon and by my estimates two servers were doing the job of six. In the end, the food is good, the liquor is expensive and the service is sub-par (through no fault of their own)."

The Gateway is the only restaurant and lounge on the SAIT campus. Students and visitors can enjoy a variety of cheap eats and drinks while mingling with friends. The Gateway also acts as a live music venue bringing in some of the biggest names in Canadian music as well as bands from across the globe.
