August 2006 — "I've been to the Hifi Club on numerous occasions and found it to be, for the most part, a great time. The bands from out of town on Saturday nights are rockin', and the cover charge isn't usually very high. Priestess (the greatest band in the galaxy), C'mon and Pride Tiger are some of the bands i've seen. Sometimes the doormen mistake me for a bartender that works there called Costello, which is good for me, because it means i can get in without waiting in line. Beware of long lineups and nights with bad dance music. "

BulletDescription

One of the few nightclubs in Calgary that caters to local hipsters, the HiFi schedule includes Pink Lightning Wednesday with electro, dance and rock, Hai Karate Thursday with breaks, rock, funk and hip hop and Flashlight Fridays with funk, soul, disco and rare grooves. House music fans can check out Sunday Skool and anyone wanting to see live bands should head to the club on Saturday nights. HiFi also hosts CD release parties for local bands and brings in international DJs.
