September 2010 — "We eat at Rics Grill on a regular basis. We love the atmosphere and the food is fantastic. We have always found the service to be more that satisfactory. "

July 2010 — "July 2010 - We really enjoyed this restaurant when it first opened. The atmosphere, service, food and the view were very nice. We were quite excited to have a nice restaurant in our little city. Now however, I am sad to say that the service, food and the decor have all gone down hill. We took out of town guests to Ric's in December and we were all disappointed. The meal was mediocre at best, and way over priced for the quality of food. We decided to give it another try tonight, but again it was awful. I ordered oysters, that came with so much breading on them, I had to peel it all off to get a taste of the oysters. I also ordered the halibut, and it came severely under cooked. I had to send it back. Thankfully the server was good enough not to charge us for my meal. My husband’s meal was ok, i.e. he was able to eat it, but now that we are home, he is not feeling well at all (several trips to the washroom). Ric's really needs to find a good chef, train their service staff, and spiff up the place or I fear they won't last much longer. I won't go back! Ever!!

July 2009 — "I have heard much of this restaurant in the last couple of years. I finally decided to give it a try. We called a week in advance to make our reservation and we waited at the door for an hour past our time. The staff apologized and blamed the kitchen. Our male server was quite knowledgeable and he understood our frustration. Our meals then took another hour unfortunately and were cold when they arrived. Needless to say I will probably not go back there."

May 2009 — "I went to Ric’s grill for lunch with some co-workers. We had booked a meeting room which was actually located off of the lounge on a separate level from the restaurant. The atmosphere in the old water tower is absolutely amazing because we had a very nice view of the mountains and the city of Lethbridge. The actual meeting room was a little bit crowded for the 8 of us and therefore a bit too warm for my liking. I ordered the salmon burger with the spinach salad. The salmon was quite tasty, although slightly overcooked. It was still a good salmon burger. The spinach salad was very fresh and light and I really enjoyed it. The dressing was not too thick and heavy. The service for the group was good and the facility was clean. I used the restroom at the restaurant and it was clean and tidy. I would visit this restaurant again for lunch and I would recommend it."

June 2008 — "Ric's Grill in Lethbridge has a huge advantage over other restaurants in the city and that is the spectacular view which comes from been located inside the old water tower. The tower was converted, I am told at considerable expense, into a restaurant and bar, and offers views of the city as well as the Rocky Mountains in the distance. We decided to eat out there on Saturday evening and were seated at a window table so that gave us the ideal vantage point. I would definitely recommend you ask for a window seat because the other tables are not as nice. We ordered a couple of appetizers which were both excellent, the crispy calamari and almond goats cheese crostini. For our main course, I decided on the 12 oz top sirloin while my partner had the 6 oz sirloin Oscar deluxe. Our other two eating companions tried the rack of lamb and grilled wild salmon. As one of our party was vegetarian, they were limited in their menu choices. Three of us ordered salad to start while I went for the creamy vegetable soup but was given a beef/french onion soup. When I asked the waiter, he said the kitchen had changed the soup but he was not aware. With the main courses, the rack of lamb was excellent where as the salmon was just okay and meat dishes also okay. I had ordered my steak medium but it was as rare as my partner’s steak who had asked for a rare steak. In hindsight, I should have sent it back but decided to press ahead. When I asked the waiter about my steak, he said he thought I had ordered a medium rare steak, strike two against this guy. Lastly for dessert, we ordered a chocolate cake and a cheesecake to share but the waiter brought a cheesecake and cappuccino pie. You guessed it, he thought we said that. Strike three against this guy! So overall, the view is great, the food was okay and the service just not up to standard."

Located in the old Lethbridge city watertower, this restaurant offers stunning views from 150 feet in the air. This award-winning restaurant serves only the best steaks and the freshest seafood and pastas. The lounge offers a non-smoking environment, six large plasma televisions, a pool table and a private dining room.
