November 2010 — "Visited milestones restaurant on sat. for brunch. Usually both the food and the service are top quality; not so on this particular morning. The food was not hot enough but the thing I did not like was my coffee cup arrived with spills all around the edges and down the side. When questioned the waitress did not offer to get another cup. I sent it back with the server. We will likely not go back for awhile. "

March 2009 — "Milestones Restaurant in Edmonton’s South Common caters to family dinners or outings with friends. The décor is funky, modern and unique--we counted upwards of fifteen different types of light fixtures. We started with the Bocconcini Garlic Bread which was really excellent!! There are lots of interesting choices on the menu but I opted for one of the burgers with unusual toppings. However, I thought the burger was a bit disappointing considering its price. It was small and tasted a little too much like it had been recently defrosted. On the other hand, the yam fries were fabulous! Although it’s not marketed as a family restaurant, the kids menu was too disappointing for them to even bother with. We had a friendly and entertaining server, and we didn’t have to wait very long for our food. There are several great sounding menu items that I’d like to try, as well as a great wine list, so I’ll definitely give Milestone’s another shot. "

June 2007 — "My husband and I ate at Milestone's for the first time on Saturday night. Our main reason for choosing it was that it was the only restaurant in South Edmonton Common that didn't have a one hour wait. It's a beautiful building, inside and out. The decor is very stylish and trendy, with a lot of booths and a great looking lounge. The service was ok, and the wait to get in was minimal. We both ordered the steak special, with "lime" shrimp on top. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection, the shrimp was also tasty. However, no lime flavour could be detected. The "rub" on the steak was a little gritty and tasted more like cloves and cinnamon than lime. As well, we ordered the calamari to start, and it was ok, but not great. They were trying for an untraditional take on calamari, and I felt, didn't really pull it off. Overall, it was ok. We would probably try some place else for steak though, before we go back."
